Hackathon Phase 1 Office Hours and Rule Changes!

We've noticed some of you are encountering challenges in Phase 1 of the hackathon so we're hosting two Discord Office Hours sessions featuring a Microsoft Learn team member. 

  • May 6 from 3PM - 4PM ET 

  • May 13 from 8:30AM - 9:30AM ET 

  • Join our Devpost Discord here and then check into the microsoftdevelopersailearninghackathon-checkin channel to get access

    • You may need to go into Channels & Roles > Browse Channels to follow the hackathon specific channels. 

These sessions will address your Phase 1 questions, ensuring you can submit to Phase 1 and help you transition into Phase 2.

Key points to be covered:

  • Navigating Learning Modules: Learn tips to progress through the modules.

  • Submission Requirements: Understand what is required to submit an eligible submission.

  • Overcoming VM Roadblocks: Gain insights into troubleshooting Open AI API access challenges within the VM.

In the meantime, if you still find yourself stuck on the Labs segment of the modules, we've got a pro tip for you. We encourage you to still request Open AI API access however, if you encounter difficulties, proceed by clicking through the modules and then refer to the developer guide. The developer guide will also allow you to complete similar exercises covered in the Learn modules and you can leverage the proxy site for the Azure OpenAI API access. 

We also have important updates regarding the rules!

We heard your concerns and now providing screenshots of completion emails from the learning modules is optional. Simply share your Microsoft Learn username, and we'll verify your module completion status.
